I have sworn that if I am going to read a book that is in a series, that I need to start at the beginning and read them in order. No matter how the author and publisher try to convince you that you will catch on I'm always a little lost and have cursed and sworn off series all together. So, to give them a fighting chance (I obviously was not really serious when I declared "No more Series!") I'm reading them in order from now on.

This is the first of the Mike Bowditch series. You want things to turn out right - and they really do - but not the right like you want them too. Pretty good writing. Nicely developed characters. Not sure if I'll read ALL the series, but I'll at least read number 2.

Maine game warden Mike Bowditch is going about his day when he finds out his father is now wanted for a double homicide involving a cop. Even though they haven’t had the best relationship he can’t bring himself to imagine his father would do that so he sets of trying to prove his innocence. This was a very fast paced mystery that I finished in just a day and I have to say the audiobook made the read even more enjoyable.
