this book was very interesting. i originally enjoyed muad’dib’s part more than young paul, but both were equally good, and equally flawed. i think this book did its best when talking about the religious aspect of paul, and how taxing it is on him. i also very much enjoyed irulan and alia we get to see duncan more! i wish more gurney tho, the loveable basset player. i think it’s worst aspect may be the writing. sometimes it was just kind of weird. would i recommend this book? if you’re a big dune nerd, yes. if not and you only wanted to read dune because of the hype but you kind of want to keep reading the series? it’s ok if you skip this one :) ‼️Spoiler‼️ thallo was very weird, and went in a very different direction than i thought he would’ve, same goes for marie.
