overall pleasant, maybe a bit trite at times. enjoyed some of the analogies and quotes:

- being flexible - “The bamboo bends in the wind. It doesn’t break”
- importance of self-care - “In an aircraft emergency, you put on your own oxygen mask first... can’t help others if you’re not well.”
- how to be interesting - be interested
- “Facts fill the mind; experiences open it.”
- “What is this life if, full of care, we have not time to stop and stare.” (W.H. Davies)

feel like i've read enough of such 'self-help' stuff… the ideas are similar among the different books/articles, just repackaged. there is also a need to read such books (actually every book) with discernment because not all ideas are good ideas... anyway, this book summarises the ‘generally agreed’ key ideas/principles of life topics (relationships, learning, investing, etc.) pretty well. i don't agree with all of the points presented, but i'm glad to have explored them together with the author.
