i absolutely loved this book, the only reason it’s a 4 star and not a 5 star is because the politics confused me sometimes which made those parts a little boring. BUT the romance made up for it so much. This book was so heart wrenching, it felt like i could feel all of Alex’s emotions through the words, the writing is just impeccable.

The book was one of the best ones I have ever read. Young love and the journey to find yourself are portrayed in such a beautiful way, as well as falling in love with all the wierd and uncomfortable moments in the beginning and the addiction to seeing each other as often as possible. 
The love story itself (enemies to lovers) was kinda predictable but the other stories revolving around it weren’t, which made the book really entertaining and the plot non-predictable. 
All the characters are described very well and especially the maincharacters just force you to fall in love with them. 
I found myself laughing at so many points throughout the story but also feeling with the characters at so many points - through the beautiful way of writing the reader really is included in the story. 
5 out of 5 stars is, for me, not questionable.

This is the love story my weary, cynical heart needed. There is healing to be had in America, and perhaps what happens in this novel is an oversimplification, a fairytale, But dammit, it got me. It tended some ongoing wounds I still have from 2016. I cried, laughed, swooned, and maybe even orgasmed. Holy crap this book was hot. But it was so much more than that. It was just lovely.

I’m glad I got it. Since English isn’t my first language, it was a little difficult to get used to the type of writing and it was a overhyped. But I still loved reading it.

I'm more bummed than anyone can be that this has been a 3 star for me. Maybe I expected something else or maybe this wasn't actually for me idk. I went from being obsessed with the story to finding it completely boring within pages. 

This could have been so much better with dual pov honestly. It's not I didn't like Alex but I just feel Henry could have brought so much more to the story. There are so many things I feel could have been done in a better way. 

However it's not like I didn't enjoy it or something. I did. The banter between Alex and Henry was cute.  But it wasn't enough. 

Loved it from the first to the last  chapter. The chemistry between Henry and Alex was just perfect for me. I felt with them trough the whole book and I even cried at some point (and that means a lot). For me it was just perfect.

It's a queer rom-com and I didn't know I was into rom-coms until I came across this beauty. Maybe it's not the genre I'm into but this particular book. It's beautiful. 

What I loved:
•The characters, my god, are so human, so lovable. I don't know how the author managed to make a 16 years old, middle class Indian girl relate to the son of the President of USA and the Prince of the UK. It's the human in us, I guess.
•Short, precise descriptions of various events and Casey McQuiston's complete, undivided focus on the characters and their feelings.
•THE MAILS that Alex and Henry send to each other. I can start a separate fan page on them. 
•Witty conversations. Hilarious comebacks. 
•The subtle touches. On the knee, the inside of the elbow, behind the ear arghhhhh
•Elaborate research work that went into writing this book. 
•FLAWLESS imagery, FLAWLESSly spun situations, FLAWLESS metaphors, FLAWLESS writing, FLAWLESS, FLAWLESS characters. 

What I could have done without:
•One thing, just a tiny, tiny thing, is that there are numerous American political terms, American history allusions so I had to google a lot. They did disrupt the flow for me but didn't hamper with the ultimate reading experience.
