I did really enjoy this book BUTTTT the pacing is rough. I understand there is a year gap from the first death to the next but that in between made up majority of the book. Onto the movie now

this was a really good book and the writing was really good but wow the pacing was horrid at points- the 3 sisters suicides   spanning maybe 2 pages bothered me and i wish we got more of the boys registering it like we did with cecilia’s death. also there was like a mass point of the book that i was really bored because of the pacing. And also since we got the boys perspective not the sisters we didn’t get much of the sisters personality flushed out only lux’s (but love her) which was annoying. But i get it like it makes sense narratively that they’d only focus on the one that was more extroverted of the sisters.

It was cool but weird how fascinated the boys were with the Lisbon sisters. I felt that they had no real compassion or sympathy for them. It was almost like the girls didn’t live up to their expectations once they met them. Overall not a bad book could’ve been better.
