fascinating form of investigative poetry and found text through anthropological reports, declassified documents, and religious/historical texts, may experiment with this in my own work. some of the parts that evoked the babad tanah jawi, mahabharata, and bhagavad gita feels a bit orientalist to me, like why are u talking about ancient texts as 60% of your exploration of indonesia in a book about the 1965-66 killings lmaoooo. i particularly enjoyed the web weaving between corporations and war criminals as the speaker comes into a reckoning that everything and everyone they have known takes mass murder as political strategy.
