A good storyline with a fair few twists in it that kept me reading on. Most people claim to be able to guess how books are going to end, but there were genuinely a couple of moments in this story where I had to re-read a line because I couldn't believe it. The book does waffle a little bit and there's no real character progression of any sort however. But a solid storyline and clever writing makes this a good read!

I really enjoyed this book and it is definitely a page turner. It's pretty fast paced and gets you hooked straight away. The characters are a bit thin so you don't feel emotionally attached enough to really care what happens to them but I was still desperate to see how the story would develop. However I did find the passages about Michael being alive very difficult and uncomfortable to read!

** spoiler alert ** I had such high hopes for this book after the first chapter. It definitely hooked me in and kept me interested for a while. And then... it just got too complicated. The original idea was amazing. Never read anything like it... but halfway through the book, the author seemed to have too many ideas and still tried to use them all and he failed... First up... being in love with your best friends girl is such an overused plot. Having an affair with your best friends girl is just as overused. Devising a "stag do" prank where you pretend to bury the groom alive is just insane... The fiancé being involved in the end was just obvious. But then it gets worse... the story turns from a prank gone wrong to an intricately planned heist. With a triple cross. The author makes you think it was the best friend and the fiancé wanting to be together then changing it so the fiancé only wants the guys money and then adding in 3 other instances where she's done this before and all her previous husbands have died. Then add her crazy Australian husband who takes pleasure in torturing her lovers after they get the money. If you're confused then you know how I felt. I'm incredibly disappointed in the way this book played out...
