I'm nearly halfway through the book and I'm just not connecting with any of the characters.

An easy read, it won't rock your world and definitely doesn't have the intrigue and mystery I'd expect from a crime story of this ilk. I loved the TV adaptation so will go through the series to give it a proper chance to wow me.

The lead character is developed well, but the basic plot doesn't give him much room to manoeuvre.

Disappointing, but a good bedtime read.
