4.5 stars Northern Lights: 4.75 stars The Subtle Knife: 4.25 stars The Amber Spyglass: 4.5 stars I always wanted to love these books but the German translations are just not good so I couldn't when I was younger and I am borderline bitter about that now that I've read the original series and loved it so much. The story can be understood on so many levels and is amazing on all of them.
