YES, this is a Pippa DaCosta book. YES, it took me nearly two months to write a crappy non-review for it. YES, I ONLY rated it 3 ridiculously lame, pathetic little stars. YES, I hate my repulsive little self a teensy little bit because of it. And finally YES, I obviously read the book BLOODY SHRIMPING WRONG.



Shoot the Messenger has ALL the trademarks of a Most Wondrous Pippa DaCosta Piece of Awesomeness (MWPDCPoA™): gloriously original world building (fae in bloody shrimping space, anyone?) + scrumpaliciously badass female lead (and a magic whip-wielding one at that) + delicious potential harem slaves sidekicks + non stop action + fast paced plot + evil twists and tricks à la Villainous DaCosta that are sure to leave you feeling like a crushed barnacle + lickable cover (which never hurts and stuff).

And despite all this ↑↑ amazing amazingness, who read the book BLOODY SHRIMPING WRONG and ONLY rated it 3 ridiculously lame, pathetic little stars, I ask you?!



I am the most undeserving, ungrateful, unappreciative, unthankful, ungracious [please insert all un-anything adjectives you can think of here] Pippette (short for "slightly hysterical Pippa fangirl who tends to behave as sanely as a 13-year-old on acid," in case you were wondering) that ever was. And probably that ever will be, too. Now excuse while I commit crustacean suicide and stuff.



Wait, before I do that, maybe I need to atone for my exceedingly depressing and most despicable lack of reading judgment here. So reread this book first I shall, and kill my little self via moderately electrified pincers second I will. Best plan ever and stuff.
