Henri has been left at the alter - again! She really thought fifth time would be the charm. She didn't think that the person to comfort her at her lowest would be Luca Rossi, baseball player and playboy and from the stories, her former fiance told her, a walking ego.
Luca was bitten by love once and then found out about the web of lies that had been spun. He's not into love and hates weddings which of course means he's never away from the things! His Nonna is fed waiting for him to get his act together and she's determined to put "The Eye" on him. The Eye may take you down a weird path but its victims all find love.
Luca and Henri decide to team up to defeat They Eye and to toughen up Henri's heart so she doesn't keep falling in love with unsuitable men. They will have you laughing, snorting, rolling your eyes, and wishing you could bang their heads together! There are a great collection of supporting characters adding to the mayhem, including a collection of potential replacement baseball mascots.
Henri is a bit of a serial monogamist, she just wants to be someone's priority. Luca is wary of love and has only seen how it can tear families apart or be used to trap him into deals. With Henri he can be himself and I loved the chemistry between them. Dogzilla of course nearly always steals the show, lol.
