This wasn't bad, but I found the development of their relationship hurried and lacking substance. On the male protagonist's side, he went from being disgusted—I kid you not—at the sight of her to proposing in the most romantic fashion. And for the female protagonist, he could very well have been her brother for all the romantic interest she had in him. When they eventually coupled, it felt stiff and a bit plastic. It was a wonder anyone was fooled by their fake relationship. That said, it was the premise that drew me in and for that, I found the book interesting. I liked the individual growths of the characters and the meet-cute was just amazing! It did what he had to do, but I would appreciated it if the characters had some chemistry and were genuinely attracted to each other. I'm not necessarily a fan of insta-love/lust but to be disgusted when you look at your partner—or atleast someone that will be your partner—shouldn't be a thing.

I liked this book. It’s hard not to fall in love with begonia. Hayes wasn’t too bad either lol. Mostly, this book gets 3.5 starts cause I felt it was a bit slow and skipped some major developmental points to rush to the ending.

This was super fun and very cute but the timeline was a little crazy and I don't think they'd make it long term.

Take one grumpy billionaire, attempting to hide out from his wedding-wielding family. Add one High School Art Teacher, who leaped at the chance to live in idyll for two weeks with her hyper service dog. Multiply by insanely cute meeting and you have yourself an amazing romance Hayes is sick and tired of the notoriety of being the last single male billionaire under 40. His family wants him married off and he needs a way to get them off his back. Begonia is a wild child, artistic to her core. And Marshmallow, OMW that dog is super smart but also super nutty. Begonia is perfectly happy in her own skin, she has a few dings from her recent divorce but otherwise she knows who she is and is happy with herself. Poor Hayes, he was so focussed on keeping his family in line that he lost sight of himself. That family may be "Disney-esque" but they completely in his face all the time. The way they just descend on HIS house is nuts! There are lots of opportunities to laugh at the antics of Hayes family, woe the black hole of fun that is Hayes life and wonder at what Marshmallow is going to do next. Weird, wonderful and funny. Chemistry is insanely hot and the secondary characters are just as much fun as the MC's. My personal favourite secondary character is one of Hayes security - he is a complete doll!
