Pittacus Lore

United as One (Lorien Legacies)

The Mogadorian invasion has come to Earth, and they have all but won the battle for our planet. Their warships loom over our most populous cities - like New York City, Tokyo, Moscow, Beijing, and New Delhi - and no army will risk making a move against them. The Garde are all that stand in their way . . . but they are no longer alone in this fight. Human teens from across the globe, like John Smith's best friend, Sam Goode, have begun to develop Legacies of their own. The Garde have always known there is power in numbers. If they can find these new allies and join forces with them, they just might be able to win this war. The time has come for the Garde to make their final stand.

I can't believe this series is over! Seven books in a series is a good number. I loved learning about all of the Nine Garde and Ella. They all had their role. (view spoiler)[ Without all of them, they wouldn't have been able to take down Setrakus Ra. They all did something. For example, without One, Adam wouldn't have his legacies, Two and Three kept Four alive, Eight killed mogadorians and saved Nine who helped Seven, Four and Six take out Setrakus Ra. Even Five saved Four. Ella was instrumental to ensuring all plans were successful with her telepathy.

From the point on when they left to take down the Anubis, it was awesome. I loved how they all worked together to win the war. John, Nine, Five and Adam had some very close calls. I knew Five was going to get out.

I found Caleb's legacy so interesting. His was one of my favourites.

I loved that this series had a group of characters who were so different and you could choose your favourites. Eight was mentioned many times throughout the book which made me happy that he wasn't forgotten. Marina was able to help John deal with his emotions after Sarah was killed and I liked their friendship that developed, along with John and Nine being my all time BROTP (hide spoiler)]

I've had to say goodbye to a heap of series this year. I mean, so many things are ending in 2016, and the one thats making me the saddest to see go is this goddamn alien book. But I love it so much, and it's been with me for so long. And I can't believe it's over. I can't believe I have to say goodbye to John and Six and Nine and Five and Adam and Marina and Sam and Malcolm and Lexa and BERNIE KOSAR. I'll miss them all so much, this series is so good. (I literally don't care what any review says this series is SO GOOD)

This book picks up a bit after the ending of the Fate of Ten. The gang is quickly reunited and begin to plan their big attack on Setrakus Ra ( bc, duh, that asshole didn't go down aT ALL after FOT)

Immediately this book was action packed. This thing is action, action, action the whole way through. It had some INCREDIBLE scenes of mayhem and destruction and SUPERPOWERS that made my trash heart sing. This book is like superpower porn ( my fav kind of porn)

Some of the action scenes were ... so good. I mean, I'm used to high quality action scenes - this series has given me so, so many. And still they've managed to be topped off here.

I MEAN HECK ! THESE SCENES HAD ME REELING

(view spoiler)[

 - John's big attack on the Mogs? a m a z i n g. I was SCREAMING @ old Johhny Boy like

deep and scaring me but also omg you're so incredible
 - Throwdown between Five and John ? *fans self* THAT SCENE WAS SO GOOD ! and it
actually got me for 1 hot minute I was a bit confused about Five's intentions and !! I cannot
believe but it was the fight, the throwdown we all had to see and it was so goof
  - THE PHIRI DUN RA AND FIVE FIGHT OH MY GOD WHEN FIVE CAME OUT 2 SMAHS HER
I WAS !!!! my son MY SON it was so cool so so cool
 - Basically the whole scene with the Mog's in West Virginia, actually
  - THE FINAL SHOWDOWN WITH PHIRI AND ADAM AND SIX SO COOL. I loved to see
Adam fight, loved to see Six fight. Both of them got rekt and I WAS IN DISTRESS but it was a
 really nice scene
 - THE !!!!!!! SETRAKUS FIGHT. !! it was everything. I was waiting for this fight for 7 books,
the final showdown, the Harry vs Voldermort of the series and boy ! so good. I was a little :/
about it because I was ?? heck, Johns ximic makes this too easy but OH NO it wasn't easy at
all. I REALLY THOUGHT FIVE WAS A GONER and when Nine lost his arm I WAS YELLING Nine

UNEXPECTED. That Marina worked it out ! ? blessing. And omg the fact six did the final dirty

okay. Had to get some emotions out. We're back online with the coherent review.

I loved that this book included so many of the scenes that make a final book feel right I mean, there are just some cliches I love to see in a final book and I got a fair few of them in United as One and I loved it.

I loved the comparison scenes, with the Garde recognising their power now versus what they were like then. I loved the comparisons made between the Human Garde now and what the Loric were like when they first started developing legacies. I loved the scene when John muses about how 1 piken nearly killed him and Six in Ohio, and how coming up against 3 alone now doesn't even faze him.
I'm such a sucker for the "chosen one" trope and the "I was weak, but now I'm strong" trope so honestly this book gave me everything my trash trope loving heard desired.

I had some issues with the end, admittedly. Actually, issues isn't the word. The ending wasn't bad, it was fine. But I wish it was MORE. I was disappointed there wasn't more emotional payback in the epilogue. I feel like it's been set up for a possible sequel later, which I'd be on board with. I just wish there'd been MORE from each character, especially Six and Sam. I don't know, it was a weird way to have to say goodbye to them all.

But overall I loved this book so much. When I begam reading this I never realised how much it'd grow on me. I DONT EVEN CARE ABOUT ALIENS. BUt I care about these aliens. I'm so glad my fave (view spoiler)[NINE MY SON (hide spoiler)] made it through. I'm gonna miss this series so much ! I loved these books, loved the characters, loved the romances, loved the action scenes, loved the development of the characters, loved the fights, loved the worldbuilding, loved the banter and the quips.

I love it so much, LORIC ARE MY FAVOURITE ALIENS. Thanks @ the world for giving me this #bless. So sad to see them all go.

ACTUAL RATING 4.5 !

The seventh and final book in the #1 New York Times bestselling I Am Number Four series brings the Garde’s story to a breathtaking conclusion. The Garde didn’t start this war, but they’ll do whatever it takes to end it once and for all. . . . The Mogadorians have invaded Earth and the Garde are all that stand in the way, but they’ll need an army of their own to win this fight. They’ve teamed up with the US military, but it might not be enough. The Garde need reinforcements, and they’ve found them in the most unexpected place. Teenagers from across the globe, like John Smith’s best friend, Sam, have developed abilities. So John and the others must get to them before the Mogs, because if they don’t their enemies will use these gifted teens for their own sinister plan. But after all that has been taken from John—his home, his family, his friends, and the person he loves most—he might not want to put any more lives in danger. He’s got nothing left to lose, and he’s just discovered he has an incredible new Legacy. Now he can turn himself into the ultimate weapon. So will he risk his life to save the world, or will he realize that power in numbers will save us all? Michael Bay, director of Transformers, raved: “Number Four is a hero for this generation.” This epic young adult series is perfect for fans of action-packed science fiction like The Fifth Wave series by Rick Yancey, The Maze Runner series by James Dashner, and Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game. Don’t miss the first book in the brand-new I Am Number Four spin-off series: Generation One.

After a fantastic saga, a very well built plot it almost feels as if the author wanted to get rid of it as soon as he could. It felt rushed and incomplete, very predictable and with not many emotions.

I loved it! But the only thing was that Marina and John are gonna fall in love. I'm just over here like wait what??? You guys are just going to forget Eight and Sarah like that??? So yeah. Btw the book was so good I had a dream about it last night combined with ghostbusters. Crazy right?
