This is a sequel of sorts to PS I Love You, and brings readers back to the love story of Holly and Gerry. It was a good book.

This was an absolutely incredible read, with touching moments and many relatable characters.
It is often the case that sequels to bestsellers don't do the original book justice, but that was definitely not the case for Postscript, as the plot was new and unique to the book, rather than furthering the plot of PS, I love you.
The book was filled with life lessons and thought-provoking advice, which made me love it even more, as it helps put perspective on things that may be happening in the reader's own life.
Overall a wonderful, poignant book, definitely recommend to all.

honestly the best sequel that could have been written for ps i love you

I can count on one hand the number of books that have made me cry. This one is included! Oh my it has been a while since I’ve read/watched P.S I Love You. It’s one of my go to movies when I need a good cry session. I’ve heard rumours that Postscript will be adapted into the film sequel as well. Postscript takes place 6 years after Holly receives her last letter from her late husband. She goes on her sister’s podcast to talk about grief and is then approached by a woman who asks her to come and visit a club she started for terminally ill people called the P.S I Love You Club. Holly is astounded! And a little angry that she is pulled back into this tragic moment of her life. She is struggling with finally ‘moving on’ and has a boyfriend who she is planning on moving in with. We meet a whole new cast of characters in this one and we see Holly grow even stronger than she did before. For those of you that have read the first book, we know that there are lots of changes in the film...what do you think they will change in the sequel? Make sure your tissue box is right next to you for this one! Many thanks to @grandcentralpub @readforeverpub for sending this my way! 💛#gifted

I was lucky enough to read a Sampler if this from Netgalley and I CANNOT WAIT!!!! Oh wow this is a book I have been waiting for since 2005. I loved PS I Love You - it was one of the first women’s fiction books I read and I remember being a 16 year old girl crying my heart out over Gerry and Holly and their last year together through Gerry’s letters. I’m excited to see where this new book goes and it was lovely to see zoology giving an interview to Ciara’s Podcast as well as sharing her experiences despite the clear lack of desire to do so. I really cannot wait for the full book, I’m pretty certain this will be a 5 Star read for me!!!!

So so excited to finally pick up the sequel to PS. I Love You. It was so beautifully written and it evoked emotion without being soppy. I was so excited to have Gerry brought back into my life in a way that it didn't feel sad saying goodbye again. It wasn't like a farewell it was the closure we needed. The side characters in this story and their stories were so relatable and realistically written without being boring. This book was 100% real! The only thing I didn't like was that it made me cry so much! dammit Cecelia! I am also upset that I devoured it and finished it so quickly. I just wished I could have had Gerry in my life a little longer.

I enjoyed this one and think it was a perfect/natural follow on to the first novel.

Highlights

'How are you doing?' his blue eyes search me intensely, like an X-ray of my soul.
All of a sudden I want to cry. He sees it coming and puts the mug down, comes round to me, down on his knees and hugs me tightly, rubs his fingers through my hair as I let it all out and let it all go.
