Princess Academy: The Forgotten Sisters

These books are so empowering to women. Wow. As an adult, all their problems seem to be simply and easily rectified but for a younger audience, it's perfect. Miri and her friends don't need a man to help them solve problems. The point is that women can do it themselves. I loved this series and will definitely have my daughters read these when they are older.

Genuinely enjoyed this one. It was really sweet, and while you could tell it was written WAY after the other two, it still felt perfectly in place. Queen Sabet holds a special place in my heart after that speech. (Also Astrid and Felissa and Sus, of course.)
