This was exactly what I expected to be: a manga I knew I would really enjoy, but for some reason, I’m not really interested in continuing right now. Maybe I’ll read the other 8 later.

Another great chapter in Princess Jellyfish. I really like the eclectic group of characters. Maybe it's out of the genres that I read, but I definitely feel like it's rare to see stories about nerdy girls. Interestingly, there's 4 pages in the middle that are in color for some reason.

The only drawback to this series is that the translator notes are way after you've read the chapters. So I'll be looking through them and going "Do I remember what this note is talking about?" I guess it'd be nice if there were some marking to show there's a translator note to check out on the actual page.

Still really enjoying this story. I love how there's a celebration of uniqueness without an excess of cynicism or idealism.

Tsukimi Kurashita has loved jellyfish from a young age. She resides in Amamizukan, a fangirl only-dorm. One evening, at the local pet store, Tsukimi sees a lovely jellyfish in danger! Thankfully, a beautiful - and, most frighteningly, "stylish" - woman comes to the rescue.

Another good volume. I like the drama and comedy. They include translation notes after each of the individual volumes (since it's an omnibus), which is helpful, but I really wish manga companies included them after the chapter so that it's easier to remember what they're referencing. 

Hope there's some relationship growth between the characters in the next volume.

Ah, this is what I wanted. Good progress with the relationships.

I never really realized how much business and fashion drives the drama in this story, but that's good too. Because we finally see Kuranosuke emphasize with the Amars and thinking about their needs and wants.

The writer's corner about obsessing about Korean pop culture and getting a jellyfish pet are cute and relatable.

This is the first volume that I've read following watching the drama. It's really interesting to see how condensed some aspects of the manga become in the drama version (although some of the streamlining can be justified). 

Can't say that I'm a big fan of Fish and his stuff. Here's hoping for more Ama~s hijinks, Shuu clulessness, and more fun stuff in the next volume.

The bonus comics are pretty good though. Learning about the interns and the kids that just visit Akiko's studio was pretty fun.

The penultimate volume? I thought this was the last volume, so I was surprised when a lot of the chapters went into the back stories for the characters. I genuinely enjoyed this fleshing out of the characters, since they don't really appear in the drama, but was surprised that it happened here, before the climax to the various plotlines.

Finally actually done reading it. It's surprising to see the Singapore arc get cut from the drama, but a lot of that and the Kai Fish stuff isn't really what interests me about this series, so maybe it's for the best?

Kind of strange to see how the drama diverges from the manga. There's one episode left in the drama, and volume 8 of this won't come out for a few weeks, so I'll see the end of the drama before the end of the manga.

One thing that would have made the manga a bit better is they should have marked the lines that are spoken in English. It's not obvious at all, and it makes it hard to understand Tsukimi's confusion. Like in Genshiken, they'd mark the English with asterisks or something. Or put the font in italics or brackets.

What a fitting end to the series. I think I like it even better than the live TV drama version. There's one scene with shadow figures like the shadow puppets from Utena, which I liked.

After the story is complete, there is a TON of bonus content. Full color illustrations of the characters. Interviews with the author. 

And at the end, there's a bonus manga, the first chapter of Tokyo Tarareba Girls by Higashimura, about 30 year old women looking for love.

Rereading it because of the drama release.

It's pretty neat comparing the book to the drama, since the drama is starting to change a lot of the little details from the manga.
