There was *something* missing in the plot. It was all too fast-paced and everything was clashing and happening so quickly that left no space for more details. It was nice that there wasn’t an overload of context; however, bits and pieces of the stories were left in mystery. The protagonists, Laura and Alec could’ve definitely discussed more said missing bits. In certain scenes, I was left like “what..” because everything came clashing down so unexpectedly. The element of surprised is definitely appreciated; but, once again, it all happened too fast. 

As per the relationship itself, it was, well, fast-paced too. Unsurprising. I get that it’s a second chance romance, the characters already knew each other before. Like okay, they still love each other blah blah; nevertheless, they still need time to process what went wrong and everything. Also, TENSION! Tension is a key element that was unfortunately absent in this world. 

As an extra, unrelated note: the title had almost nothing to do with the plot itself and man, that bummed me out. What honestly caught my attention here was the title. Such a cool-ass title should’ve had a meaningful significance within the depth of the writing. This is just me. 

Still, after all that, I’m rating this with four stars because I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yeah, it happened too fast for my liking but it did left me wanting for more as the story developed. I got frustrated because my kindle was out of battery while I was reading, so that must’ve meant something. It is surely a fun, short ride. 

 I professionally recommend Find Me in the Rain as a quick and interesting read.
