That was something. So much going on then the last 20% took a turn and just kept going lol but I still ate those parts up.

Oh my god. I loved this book so fucking much it’s unbelievable. I wish I could read it for the first time already!!! Max is so perfect I love his character so much, he’s such a sweetheart and has literally the most perfect everything. I love Rory too! Her character was so perfect and she was so sweet and “bossy”. I wish we got Max’s pov but at the same time I feel like the author did an amazing job with showing both sides of the relationship through only one pov. I love everything about this and how they came together so well and just everything. I did hate everyone except Rory and Max for like 80% of the book tho

decent, cute, fast read My only standing issue what that I feel something’s were added to the climax of all the tension simply for shock value, not to actually coincide and sustain itself as a part of the existing storyline….

Surprisingly loved this. Not a hockey gal and had never heard of this writer before but I'm obsessed and will be reading the next 3 books

THIS BOOK HAD NO BUSINESS BEING THAT GOOD. Seriously, this might be one of my new favorite hockey romances (and I have read A LOT of hockey romances). It was extremely quick paced which is always nice. There was a TON of angst, which I typically don't love, but it really worked in this case because it wasn't angst centered around the two love interests. Their relationship was tested because of the angst obviously, but wasn't the sole cause or focus which was so refreshing for a romance novel. I loved how everything pieced together at the end. The book was a pretty wild ride and I wasn't really sure how everything was going to wrap up, but I thought the author did a fantastic job connecting all the plot points. Absolutely incredible book. I devoured this book and loved every second of it.

SO FRUSTRATING JUST COMMUNICATE WITH EACHOTHER FFS

love it however some plot points felt a little out there to me

I didn’t have high expectations for this book but it was actually so cute! The plot to spice ratio was really good and I was invested in both the entire time! I think some of the plot points were a little disjointed. I would’ve liked all of the action that happened in the end to be spread out amongst the second act too bc it felt a little rushed. Characters definitely lovable! Such a fun read!!

Honestly I loved this book and might possibly been the best book I read this year. No because of world building or sofisticated writing but because it was sexy, made me laugh a little, and had amazing accurate hockey references. The parents' obliviousness and ignorance at times was annoying but I throughly enjoyed this book. Not too dark, had comic relief, and touched on serious subjects. I loved this book and to anyone who wants to grt into sports (mainly hockey) romances this book it for you. I've also started book too and so far VERY different but also great so far.

Yah know the audiobook wasn’t great the narrator was a lil bland, but I loved the story so it made up for it 🥹

I read that book in a few hours. I just couldn’t stop reading. 5 Stars. In my opinion it was a great plot and was also written really good

** spoiler alert ** OK, here we go. Contrary to how my review will sound, overall I enjoyed this story. But that comes with a major "BUT!". I read book 2 in the series first and really liked that one, so I went back for book 1. Here's where I noticed an annoying pattern in this series where the author creates a bitchy obnoxious woman to be an enemy for the sweet good FMC. The rest of this review is filled with stream-of-consciousness spoilers of some issues I had with this one so read on with that warning. This time, the bitchy obnoxious enemy was the media person in the team management office. The coach was the mustache twirling bad guy caricature. No one would ever ever speak to the GM and owner’s daughter the way these people did if they wanted to keep their jobs. Why did Rory never tell her dad that the coach called her a slut or that the other woman said horrible things to her? And why did that woman get to keep her job once she turned nice? That would be an instant "you’re fired" in any real organization. And the coach is captured on video knocking Rory into a mob of angry fans who are pulling her over the fence into the crowd (but of course Max saves her) - she could have been raped and/or killed. But her Dad watches this video and does nothing to the coach other than ask him why he did that? And an NHL head coach going all psycho like that guy? Would never happen. And the plane crash? Almost ridiculous that they talked about sex as a “distraction” while their plane is going down. And her parents barely seemed to care. Yet her father is portrayed as some sort of “family values” man in this series.
