Love Unexpected
Reviews

This book deserves all of the forbidden and taboo stars 🫠😍😭🫶🏻 Full review to come! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stassia & Dominic There is one particular scene that that made me fall in love w/ how daring they were! And the first time he called her Princess, i almost died!!!!!!

Not my kind of book

I read Love Unexpected, as part of the book of the month for "The Taboo Book Club" and I really wanted to give this book a chance to work and quite frankly this taboo of "step family love" is what kept me from enjoying this book. Its just a taboo that in most cases hardly ever works for me. I also felt like what we see in this book is too rushed at times, it didn't have that slow burn feeling I was expecting to find with this one here, it was like one moment they treated each other as father and daughter and then then next they have this fierce sexual attraction. I did enjoy the level of emotion between these two especially at the end there, but it did feel too close to incest for me. This taboo is a hard one for me to just let go of and if it wasn't such a hard limit for me, I know I would have enjoyed it way more than I did.

5 HOT AS HELL STARS! I honestly can't say which book I loved more - Love Unexpected or Unconditional. Q. B. Tyler's age gap romances are angsty af and so, so hot! I loved reading Stassia and Dominic's story and I recommend the book to anyone who likes taboo romances!

3.5 stars to this book! It was entertaining and insanely hot.

the smut was good 8.5/10. plot was eh. what bumped it up to 4 stars was quoting carrie bradshaw in the authors note

2.5 tremenda la recomendación de mev y nuestro amor por los daddy issues

Only read for the spice tbh. I did like the ending but I skimmed it a lot. The whole relationship freaked me out but I just pretend it wasn’t it and just enjoyed the book

QB Tyler is my new favorite romance author. Give me all the forbidden love and taboo stories, please.

Great taboo read I'll get this out first, this book is not for everyone. Read the blurb, expect it. Even i was kinda uncomfortable at some points. That being said, this is easily my favorite taboo read, and one of my favorite age gap read. If you are fine with what this book bas (step father, but not really anymore, and step daughter) then this needs to be your next read!

Taboo at its best omg!!! Dominic & Stassia were indescribable. while at first, the dynamics are tricky in so many ways, I still enjoyed it & loved the taboo side of it. Dominic sounds super hot & totallly “daddy” material. I loved that while yes this is highly taboo, you see the general roles change & flawlessly. it didn’t seem weird at the fact, it just happened & they found each other when they needed each other the most, when things were hard. I generally loved their story & how they fell in love. it never once seemed weird to me or sick. they generally just couldn’t stop themselves from falling in love. QB Tyler is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine! I can’t wait to binge the rest of her books!!

4.75 stars. I read this as a pick for the tabu book club this month. And it was amazing, not the darkest but it definitely was so tabu. I have read another book by this author before, which was called unconditional, and I injoyed it a little bit more. This one was a good read and I finished it in just one day. I loved it

Well for my first official “taboo” read I would say we’re off to a pretty fantastic start. This was an enticing story for many reasons. The author did a very good job to show the relationship between Stassi & Dominic well enough for it not to seem too weird. I also think us as humans tend to like things we know we’re not supposed to so because of that I loved the story even more & I wanted them to be together so bad. I felt a bit guilty by how much I actually enjoyed it but I have to remind myself these are just stories. If you thought about trying something taboo then definitely pick this book up.

I knew going into this book it was taboo, but I just could not get into it. The spice was great, but I could not get into the plot.

“I’d tasted the forbidden fruit, and my God, was it sweet, but I fear taking another bite, another lick, another suck would be nothing but poisonous.” Taboo Romance........ oh what a genre. My most taboo reads I think BEFORE LU was Credence and Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas. I embraced them fully and loved them even though recommending said books came with a questionnaire. Love Unexpected is fan fave for many and a TOP HITTER for spice 🔥. Read if you like: -forbidden love -age gap romance -300+ pages of hidden pleasure -kindle unlimited -tiktok trending smut -diversity So why did this 5 star read turn into a 3 star for me? I was here for the forbidden love, the steam, the road trip, all of it.... but the dang EPILOGUE ruined it. I'm sorry SPOILER I'm totally fine with this pairing getting an HEA.... in like Hawaii where they change their name and farm coconuts alone together. NOT "my grandparents are now my in-laws and my other grandparents are now his in-laws again and everyone is so happy for us even though mom only died a few months ago. No. no. nooooooo. So if you are like me... read it.... just don't read the epilogue and make your own. Rating story-⭐️⭐️⭐️ characters-⭐️⭐️⭐️ steam- The entire book is a karma sutra novel 🎼- Lay You Down by RINI

Heartfelt Taboo Romance Emotional smut is one of my favourite types of smut. Dominic and Stassia were not the stereotypical taboo couple I was expecting. Their dynamic was bordering on too taboo for me, but the communication is what kept me hooked. Plot execution was good, not great. Plot overall needed some tweaks, but nothing that ruined the book for me. Glad I gave this book a second chance!

I enjoy a good taboo forbidden love story. This was hot and sexy. I cringed at some parts mainly when they kept referring back to how he helped raised her. I would have liked it more of he came into her life when she was a little older.

3.5 stars to this book! It was entertaining and insanely hot.
