they fought like the whole book You two loving each other as hard as you do should count for something.” She purses her lips and looks out into the warm summer night. “Hell, it may just count for everything

So I may blame how much I disliked the first book on reading it when I was getting sick. But there is a chance I just didn’t like the first book’s FMC in that book but she grew on me in this book. But the storyline in this book was probably my favorite even though I wasn’t a fan on how the characters handled it. Everett went through some shit and I feel for him because of it. Now Leighton was a bit all over the place, understandably, but I felt like we were going through the same conversation three different times and weren’t getting anywhere. That would be my one drawback but definitely found this one just as appealing as the second.

3.5 stars i usually enjoy friends to lovers, and while this was cute (but hot when it needed to be), the plot just wasn’t my favorite!

I really only just made it over to the side of liking friends to lovers. However this one? Lmao I hated and loved at the same time.. Leigh got on my nerves she was way too whiny & annoying. She was naive and that pissed me off. The plot was predictable, I knew exactly what was going to happen and I still stuck through to the end & pissed my damn self off. I loved Everett the entire time and the book was very hot. . There’s squirting… That’s all I got .

** spoiler alert ** ⭐️5 I ate this series up so so fast! I am usually not a friends-to-lovers fan, but this one was crazy good. I will say I didn't love the pregnancy trope in this one, just because a novella is obviously shorter than a novel, and so it felt like this trope took up the entire plot and I would've much rather seen the character's dynamic without that in the way. But overall another great read by this author!
