It's a good vampire story. Did not expect this to have so much blood. The cover of this book speaks for itself. Excited for what comes next.

Still not past the fact this took place in Arkansas

Can we just start with how amazing the cover is?? It’s so intriguing and sexy. Holy smokes I could not stop reading this book and when I had to take breaks I was pouting! Shara is a vampire queen who has no idea of her hereditary, until two vampire knights or her bloods find her hiding out. From there it is a whirlwind of blood, lust and knowledge. She find out she is a decent of Isis and that what she thought she knew her whole life has been a lie. You can’t help but fall in love with her character she starts out as this scared and sad persons and in a matter of chapters develops into this self confident Queen you might say. I cannot wait to see where this story goes as I continue with this series. Definitely recommend! You won’t be disappointed, but if you are squeamish take that into consideration because there is a lot of blood and sex.

There is a LOT of blood happening in this book. If you don't like when vampires share blood this book is not for you. A fun little reverse harem, the plot twist was interesting so I might read the second one. I wish there had been more romance. Spicy but definitely not spice meant for everyone.

Okay this novel definitely took me by surprise... and maybe it shouldn't have now looking at the cover? Anyways, be prepared for a little more gore in this vampire romance because there's a little more than I expected. But otherwise this seems to be a good start to the series and I am interested to see where the author takes the characters! This would be a great pick for those interested in RH.

3.5

blood and rock trolls are a big no for me but ... i still didn’t hate this

Sorry not sorry for only reading smut recently.

I have so many mixed feelings about this Review to come!

3-3.5 stars! It was a good start to the series with a lot of potential, but I just didn’t LOVE it. It was very smutty though, as expected.

I’d been in Eureka Springs, Arkansas
I think this is possibly the most unexpected place for a novel like this to take place. I’m so use to castles and stuff by now it’s so weird for them to name such a random place in America

Bad things always happened in the dark. I’d learned that at an early age, when my father was brutally murdered in front of me. My mother met the same fate when I was seventeen.
Well that's one way to start a book

It sucked to be twenty-two years old and still afraid of the dark.

"Rik, where's you wallet?"
"Use your own wallet, dickhead."

"Do you honestly think we haven't had to hide a body before?"
