I was riveted the entire time because its a series I have grown to love and I love the characters. But almost this whole book they are suffering. Altho there were 4 twists at the end I didnt see coming. 

(view spoiler)[ 1. I didnt know that Cypher would have to die to open the portal. 2. They would kill Mona so easily/quickly. 3. That another new enemy would pop up and kill Vasiel in 1 easy hit. 4. That Decibel would ask the Great Luna for his life to be taken instead of his babies.  (hide spoiler)] 

All in all still a good book and I look forward to the next in the series. Wishing the characters more happiness. :)
