Dnf @ 53% shit just got problematic and I had enough

thought it would be funnier. nope. had some good moments. actually made me giggle once or twice but it was also soooo cheesy. just wham bam here is a rom com. no natural progression of the characters, no rhime or measure to their behaviour, just here it is. it was light though, a light read for someone who wants to pass the time. wasn't awful

This book had its up and downs and it does get boring at one point or the other but I love the overall message and the way Jared kept coming back.

3.5 stars. I really liked this book. I loved the chemistry between the two of them. I think it was well written. I'm not partial to pet names but the grasshopper thing was pretty cute.

Oh, this book is going - no, this whole series is going into my favey faves! I loved it. I loved LOVED it! I laughed, I fanned, I didn't want it to end. The Bradford men are hilarious and their love of food cracks me up so much! These men fall hard when they meet their match in the form of a cool rad woman. I do have to say this is my FAVE FAVE of the series. The way Jason & Haley click - it just makes you want to keep reading until you finish and then read it again. Needless to say I was reading to the wee hours of the morning. R.L. Mathewson manages to balance hot steamy romance with lots of laughter and ultimately love. You have a fan in me. Thank you for relaxing me after a long and stressful day. Oh, there is a few spelling errors and such here and there but in no way does it take away from the story.

Jason and Haley had me laughing and just shaking my head at their antics and crazy ways. How Jason managed to eat what he did without getting large is beyond me. The man and his food interactions were hilarious. I love how he would freak out and steal the food.

My first time reading R.L. Mathewson and will not be my last. H & h are believable (minus Jason's food obsession) R.L. Mathewson has a way of writing where you can not put the book down. Jason is alpha yummy in a good way. Not in a way where he is in the h face letting her know she is his and only his. He does it in a sneaky way where he will scare off any dates etc. Cute and refreshing. I adored the H/h fiendship build first and see where it was going to take them. It was nice too see the H/h interact with other characters and it did not take away from the story like a fill in just to use writing space, not boring either it just added to the story. Playing For Keeps is a keeper for me. Wickedly Delicious Book Blog

Haley and Jason are so immature it's painful to read. I kept thinking they'd act like adults at some point that I actually finished but nope, obnoxious.

ok so this is a reread because i actually really enjoyed this book the first time around but u forgot how much it PISSED ME OFF. Anyways🥰 If the miscommunication trope is not your thing, still read it bc it’s really funny and enjoyable, but proceeded with caution bc it might PISS YOU OFF🙂

I actually liked this. It was kind of annoying but also kind of funny. And Jason is a fucking baby. It's adorable.

Quick and funny read!
