This was a strange and unique book. The pacing seemed really weird, and the whole thing was largely plotless, but somehow I still enjoyed it. It's entirely monster-free. I mean, there is a monster - Johnny Scream - but he's really just a movie monster, and the whole story takes place behind the scenes at a movie shoot. The plot mostly focuses on a weird relationship between a father and son trying to outscare each other, in a callback to You Can't Scare Me, a much better book than this. I'm giving it 3 stars for the uniqueness, and for the fact that it's one of the better G2K books I've read yet, but that's not really saying too much. Still worth a look.
