Jordan and Nicole are desperate to see snow, so when they dad is asked to go photograph a monster in Alaska, the two are ecstatic! The arctic, however, isn't super fun, and their guide is super creeped out by the rumours of the monster. So much that he ends up leaving the kids and their dad behind! In a series of stupid 12 year old hijinks, Jordan and Nicole stumble across the Abominable Snowman, who seems like pretty good folk despite all the gossip. He saves the kids and brings them back to their cabin, so dad decides to kidnap the monster and bring him back to Pasadena. Logic, right? The monster is locked in a storage locker with ice, and the kids can't help but brag to their friends. They show the monster off and take out some snowballs they made while in the monster's cave. Turns out the snow is magic and it freezes everything it hits, including Nicole! So they wake the abominable snowman up and he saves Nicole despite this family being a bunch of ungrateful assholes. Then he wanders off hopefully to find home, and dad is sad because now he isn't going to be rich and famous. Oh, and the kids stupidly believe that the safest place to hide the last two magic snowballs was in a vacant lot, and of course some others find them (this book's allotment of tiny sociopaths). THE END! The monster should have eaten them all for being such jerks and so stupid. Goosebumps protagonists... LEARN SOME BASIC SURVIVAL SKILLS! Also, why did we have to come back to Pasadena? Just to make sure there was a fun title? Oyyy this one was baaaaad.
