The book picks up soon after the conclusion of the amazing <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7600922-ghost-town" rel="nofollow noopener">
 Ghost Town
</a>, which is one of my favorite books in the series, along with <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5212771-carpe-corpus" rel="nofollow noopener">
 Carpe Corpus
</a>. A gym has opened up in Morganville, one that will be teaching humans self-defense by way of martial arts and will be taught by none other than a vampire. This is apparently what Shane has wanted in town his whole life, a gym where he can work on his fighting skills, and is pretty much first in line to sign up. Soon after this though, things begin to get strange. I know...shocker! When is it not strange in Morganville? What was surprising, and very cool, was that we get two alternating perspectives in this book, Claire’s and Shane’s. Since Shane began training to fight, he starts to lose his cool over little things more and more often, and we get to peek into his head after these freak outs. Let me tell you, it’s not pretty. It is completely heart wrenching. He is spiraling into this black hole and is not even aware of it. To top it off, he cruelly pushes Claire, Michael, and Eve away. Being the amazing friends that they are, those three won’t ever give up Shane, no matter how bad it gets. Meanwhile, Myrnin and Claire are still keeping Frank Collin’s existence a secret from most everyone. It doesn’t stay that way for long. Myrnin and Frank together crack me up because they hate each other so much. And I can’t believe how unlikely a hero Frank has turned out to be these past two books! I’m also really intrigued by Amelie and Oliver’s relationship...are they? Aren’t they? Tell us!! :) A lot of people get hurt in this book, physically and emotionally. But there were also some really tender moments between Shane &amp; Claire and Michael &amp; Eve, who by the way have an interesting secret they been keeping to themselves. Not everyone's excited or happy about this secret, but I totally was! No she’s not preggers. :P I couldn’t have been happier with the ending though. It was just so touching. Now lets see what trouble they’ll get into in <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9526651-last-breath" rel="nofollow noopener">
 Last Breath
</a>. This series is so good and if you haven’t gotten around to reading it, you need to soon!

this book is alright! Shane is being violent due to Glory's fault and Claire doesnt know what it wrong with him...until they find out that Bishop is back to being evil. He is planning a mischievous plan along with people that always followed him. Is up to Claire and Eve to rescue their boys. Also, Claire gets a call from a recruiter to go to Mit.
It was a fast read , on to the next book.

grrrr.... now I know for a fact, people who are Shane-lovers, will most likely dislike this book. And I don't blame them. Rachel Caine changed him in this book, I wont say to what but I'm pretty sure you can guess. Now me, I wasn't very affected. I never liked Shane and Claire's relationship.. I don't know why but Shane always .. bugged me. So the Shane-lovers are going to hate this book but...... the Myrnin-lovers.. LIKE MYSELF :D will absolutely love it :) there is one disappointing part.. like when he didn't kiss Claire, but all in good time I'm guessing >:) Those two will have to get to together and I can even bet that Caine is writing it now.. I hope.. hehe. Basically, this book is just about how there are issues with Shane and other stuff occurs, it is a little slow-paced, so please be wary of that but other than that, it's still a fantastic instalment towards the series.

What started as an online brawl will soon threaten everyone in Morganville.

I don’t like how rushed they played out Bishop just leaving. And having a plot twist in the last 10 pages.. really? Otherwise I liked the dual perspective side of the book.
