After two years of psychological torture and abuse, Chase Johnston is finally finding his feet. His work for Raptor has helped with his rage issues, and he is finding ways to keep kids from becoming victims of sex-trafficking. When a bomb goes off at a local coffee shop and he is called in to help, Chase comes face to face with the woman who he has had an online relationship with through her cam-girl persona of Desiree. Eden has no idea that the Raptor agent who takes her home is the same man that she knows online as Falcon, but she experiences an immediate, strong attraction for Chase. Even though Chase knows he should tell Eden, he just can't give up the only thing that has made him feel anything since his torture ended, but Eden is in the middle of his investigation, so he may not have any choice.
Broken Falcon is very different from other books written by this author. There is a romantic suspense component to this story, but it is more about the baggage the two main characters have carried up to the point in their lives when they meet face to face. This story is quite dark and filled with sexual situations as well as an unconventional romance. Some of the events and circumstances seem unnecessarily repetitive, creating a plot, especially in the early part of the book, that moves quite slowly. Overall, however, Broken Falcon is a mostly satisfying romantic suspense story.

Get the hankies at the ready! Chase has been with the series for a few books now and as such I was waiting with bated breath for his HEA. He thoroughly deserves one and Eden is just the woman to smooth all his edges. Chase thinks he can never have a relationship - his past is too traumatic and he doesn't know if or when he'd be triggered and possibly put a partner in jeopardy. So he uses a Camsite - one which leads him to the alter ego of Eden. But his current "hobby" mission of going after sex traffickers leads him to meet Eden IRL. He can't exactly out her in the real world, not everyone would be understanding of her side-job but he doesn't feel comfortable lying to her either. OMW Chase and Eden are perfect together. I cried, I laughed and I hurt with them. Chase thinks he's broken beyond repair buy Edencan see the good man beneath those hair line cracks - one who is good to the core. There were plenty of twists and turns and I cheered then the big bad went down.
