It's a series of interconnected silly situations. It was a fun read for a weekend when I had nothing going on. The sequel, Her Royal Highness came out earlier this year and is on my to be read shelf.

Now, this was a cute read. But nothing to say more. 

This has the swoony YA romance and the writing style is quite fun to get along with but I couldn't quite give full five stars. It wasn't the best book and it definitely wasn't the worst so it's just kind of in the middle.

This was kind of short for me because everything jumped a lot from here to there. Every chapter took in one place and the other just happened to be in another scenario. It was hard to concentrate on what was happening and it was just all over the place.

The romance dragged a lot as well. Only in about 90% of the book did Daisy and Miles' love story bloom. Sure, baby steps are okay but it didn't really feel like it was building up the tension.

The whole story was quite dramatic. The Scottish Royal family and Daisy's family are always moving around and so scared of what might happen if something goes wrong. There are some moves here and there (which was exciting for a minute) but it was just . . . too dramatic in action.

But this whole book had its own unique cuteness that I couldn't resist but love it. If you want a short contemporary romantic book, then I would recommend this because it's something to pass away your time and read. 

Overall, it was cute and unique but there were too many things I didn't quite enjoy.

First of all, I really detest the older cover of this book. And if I hadn't heard such good reviews about this book (and maybe seen the newer, more gorgeous cover) I probably never would've picked this book up which is truly a shame because I absolutely fell in love with this story and the characters. I already know I will be picking this up again later in the year. I'd really love to buy my own copy and read it physically, though the audio book was amazing. I'm sure this will end up being one of my favorite books of 2020 and one I will read many more times to come. I don't know what exactly it was about this book but it just spoke to my soul in all the ways I needed. This is my perfect contemporary romance.

yes, I just read this book 3 months ago but in light of current events (COVID-for me in the future) I needed a feel good book that I know would make me laugh and have a good time. So I picked it up again and loved it again. This is just over the top and funny and I love the glimpse into royal life. **Spoiler** The one thing I don't really like about this is Seb being in love with Ellie. It feels totally random and throw in there and serves no real purpose in my opinion. I think it could've been fine without that, it didn't feel genuine to me. Seb had a lot of issues in this book that were never addressed or fixed that I think would've been good to see. I love Daisy and her lightning fast wit that always seemed to get her in trouble, she was cracking me up this whole book!

I loved the whole story itself. I am not really into romance books, but this one was amazing! The characters were so well written, even though it was hard to remember who were who at times because of all the names thrown around. 
I really enjoyed it, and I think I’ll be reading more romance books in the future!
