I've been a Racquel Marie fan since Ophelia After All came out a couple years ago. It was one of my most anticipated reads of that year and Racquel's books have stayed that way the past two years. With gorgeous prose, narratives that punch you right in the gut and don't even let you wipe the tears away before coming back for more, and just beautiful and raw explorations of young adulthood and grief, this book is truly her best yet. The character work especially in this book shines and the characters all grow together and apart, their layers unfolding throughout the entire book for an ending that pieces back together all the broken pieces the book shatters your heart into. Racquel is an automatic/must buy and read author for me for several reasons, and this book just further cemented that.
