Sleigh Bells Ring

Sleigh Bells Ring A Christmas Romance Novel

"[Thayne's] books are wonderfully romantic, feel-good reads that end with me sighing over the last pages."—Debbie Macomber, #1 New York Times bestselling author. Celebrate the season with this sparkling and heartwarming holiday romance that proves sometimes all you need is a little Christmas magic… Angel’s View Ranch has always been special to Annelise McCade. Once upon a time, it was her family’s land, until her grandfather sold it to billionaire Wallace Sheridan. Now employed as the live-in caretaker, Annie is just trying to make it through the holidays with both her sanity and her niece's and nephew’s faith in the magic of Christmas intact. The six-year-old twins recently lost their mother, so Annie tells herself it wouldn’t be a problem to bring them to Angel’s View. Why should it be? The Sheridans haven’t visited in years, not since Wallace died. They would never know the twins were there…until Tate Sheridan shows up out of the blue two weeks before Christmas. Crushed to learn that Tate is there to sell his grandfather’s property—and mortified that her secret guests have been discovered—Annie offers her resignation. But Tate asks them to stay and help him get the house ready for one last family Christmas before it’s put on the market. Annie and Tate have three days to work their magic before the Sheridan clan arrives—and to work through the growing attraction between them. But Annie simply can’t fall for the man who will put her out of a job and a home. Still, the sparkle of the season is impossible to deny…and this Christmas has surprises in store for everyone.

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS, SO FAIR WARNING, UPON READING THE REVIEW. Sleigh Bells Ring is the standalone holiday novel that is a recent release from this author. I am so thrilled to have been able to pick up this novel from RaeAnne Thayne. I have a feeling though this might be part of a new series though, I could be wrong on that front, but it’s just from the characters that we met in this book I could see being part of other books in the future. So we shall see what RaeAnne Thayne does here in the threads that she hinted at. I first want to say that I ADORED this book so much. It just worked for me in every way especially in the mood that I was in, it just fit just right. If you are looking for some holiday reads for the upcoming season, I don’t think that I could ever recommend this one enough to you all. Sleigh Bells Ring is a sweet, heart-capturing read that features a mix of characters that will captivate your heart. We have two pairings that will just delight you in every way. It begins with our primary heroine, Annie McCade, who is taking care of her niece and nephew while working as a ranch manager. Her brother-in-law is in jail during the holidays after a drunk disorderly charge which resulted from losing his wife. But now his children are paying the price for his struggles and Annie is doing her best in keeping their hopes up. But then the ranch that she manages, the whole family decided to come to the family home for a Christmas gathering, and when the chef ends up in an accident, Annie is the one taking on the cooking responsibilities for the whole family. Even though Annie grew up with the Sheridan’s, she still feels intimidated by them. She has been half in love with Tate Sheridan, the oldest sibling and the one that has taken over his father and grandfather’s responsibilities in the company. While Tate and Annie are reconnecting with each other through the holidays…..there is another romance that is sizzling between Tate’s sister Brie and the ranch’s caretaker. Brie has had her own struggles and is working on getting her life together. This is a novel of not just romance but of new beginnings and healing and the value of family connections. Sleigh Bells Ring was such a charming read and I couldn’t seem to get enough of this story. There was so much beautiful heart encased on each page. So many fun characters whom I couldn’t get enough of and just wanted more on the page. I will mention that this story is closed-door, so if you are expecting hot smexy scenes you definitely won’t find it with this book. I actually find this author’s writing to be so relaxing to indulge in. While she writes some wonderful kissing scenes, that is ALL you get. But I will say the romances that Thayne writes is simply powerful. The way she can write a romance and write intimacy without any sexual detail is truly wondrous because not many authors can write it in the way that she can. This book is probably one of her top-tier books, I have read quite a few of her books and I can say that this is one of her best in my opinion. It’s definitely a slow burn with a touch of unrequited love and a drop of forbidden. We do see Annie go through a struggle because she views Tate as forbidden to her. He has responsibilities, wealth, and a big company to take care of that is his family’s legacy so I do get why he would be intimidating but Tate is such a good-hearted man. You see how much he cares for his family and only wants to be a man of integrity and love that Tate and Annie found that they needed in each other. All the family members have such a unique value that contributes to the story. Overall I found Sleigh Bells Ring to be an endearing tale that will deliver in all the feels combined with the charm and sweet cheer of the holiday season, it’s a book that is guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings in ways that you won’t see coming and will surprise in the small delightful moments which will uplift and endear.

Sleigh Bells Ring by RaeAnne Thayne delivered a sweet, cozy and heartwarming, small town Christmas romance. It featured two romantic pairings, adorable twins and enough Christmas cheer to get one in the mood for the holiday season. This is my second time reading the author’s work. I enjoyed every moment spent immersed in the world she created. 🎧︎Sleigh Bells Ring introduces Annalise McCade and Tate Sheridan. Annalise returned to Angel’s View Ranch to work as the caretaker. Her brother got himself into some trouble that landed him in jail after a series of poor choices. This left her with the responsibility of taking care of her twin niece and nephew. The children staying with her at the ranch wouldn’t be a problem, but then the Sheridan family came to spend Christmas at the ranch. With most of the staff absent and the chef in the hospital because of a serious accident, Annalise offered to prepare the meals for the family. Annie grew up with the Sheridans and, from a tender age, she harbored a crush for Tate Sheridan. Tate is taking over the responsibilities of the ranch from his grandfather, who recently passed. Having Tate in proximity at this point wreaks havoc on her mind, body, and heart. 🎧︎Sleigh Bells Ring delivered not one, but two romantic pairings, with the focus on the romance developing between Tate and Annalise. The secondary romance is between Tate’s sister Brie and the ranch manager Levi. I fell wholeheartedly in love with the characters. Their fears, pain, struggles and hope leapt from the pages. My heart ached for the twins most of all. At six years of age, they’ve experienced so much pain and loss in their short life. The romance came with its fair share of challenges for both couples. Annalise thought Tate was forbidden to her because of his wealthy status. However, her fears were for naught, as Tate was a kind-hearted man. He didn’t allow his wealth to control him. Instead, he used it to help others. In relation to the secondary couple, tragic events from Brie’s past, and choices made as a result, threatened to derail the budding romance between her and Levi. Now readers who like their romance with steam will be disappointed to know that 🎧︎Sleigh Bells Ring had no smexy times. There were a few kisses and some flirtations, but nothing to set your reading device on fire. However, do not let this stop you from picking up this delightful story about healing, love, and family. It is bound to tug on your heartstrings and leave you with a smile in the end.  Stacy Gonzalez provided the narration for the story. I enjoyed listening to her. She did a good job with the voices of the characters, especially the twins. Her voices were distinct, which made it easy to determine which of the characters were speaking. I would definitely listen to her again. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
