Runaways, Volume 3: That Was Yesterday by Rainbow Rowell is set in the run up to Christmas. Alex Wilder is back as are the Gibborim — or rather their offspring. So it's a sins of the father sort of plot.

The more interesting side plot, though, is Nico learning about her powers and the staff she can cast with. Of course it's trapped spirit. Of course there is a generations long bargain — and one that she can thankfully renegotiate.

Runaways, Volume 1: Find Your Way Home by Rainbow Rowell is the trade that collects issues one through six. I believe it builds off the series Noelle Stevenson wrote back in 2015. And then Brian K. Vaughn took a run at it. I haven't read either series, nor am I particularly up to date with most of what Marvel's done.

So why did I read this one? Well, Rainbow Rowell wrote it and I was curious to see what she'd do. I think she did a good job of getting newbies like me up to speed while introducing the characters and setting up the current arc.

The title for this sequence is double edged. First there is Molly trying to be normal in middle school. She has a friend. She has classmates. She has clubs. She can for now forget about being a "D list Avenger."

But it's also a warning. It's the threat of immortality. It's being forever 13. When a gift that's meant for Molly gets into the wrong hands, the truth behind the offer is revealed.

La verdad es que se nota bastante el cambio a Los primeros cómics que leí , pero debo decir que Rainbow Rowell hace un buen trabajo , me gusta que este primer volumen sea algo como una reunión de todos los personajes que ya conocía , aunque debo decir que si no has leído los anteriores no podrás adentrarte del todo en esta historia , me quede un poco sorprendida por el inicio, y ya estoy deseando leer lo que siga.

As a team, the Runaways have gone their separate ways, but when Chase brings a dying Gert to Nico from the past and asks her to save Gert, Nico starts to think their might be a way to resurrect their team. 

Throughout Runaways, Vol. 1: Find Your Way Home, each of the children of evil super villains are visited and given the opportunity to return to the group that they once were. All of them have experienced trauma after the split, and they have reservations about leaving their current lives to come back together as a group. Several alternate covers are pictured inside as well as the work of different artists depicting The Runaways. Overall, a good graphic novel with some interesting artwork.
