The Political Trajectory of J.T. Murphy

Sign up to use
Murphy (1888-1965) was a leader in the British labor movement during the early 20th century, contributed to the early development of the British Communist Party during the 1920s and 1930s and took part in the international movement and organization, and eventually joined the Labour Party and criticized his former comrades. Darlington (industrial relations, U. of Salford) draws on newly available archival material from the British Communist Party and from Moscow to trace his life and use it to mirror for the social and political changes of his time.
