“My advice? It’s true that no one cares about us, most of the time. Women, I mean. Perhaps that’s all right, though, and the trouble is just that we care too much to make up for it.”

“It sounds small, but it changes everything. Care less, do more,” Helen said.

I am expected to wear a dress with a low neckline and I am dismissed for wearing a dress with a low neckline.

This started out really strong, I think the first and last chapters are my favorite- heavily favoring the first. I really loved how the narrative showed the sister’s relationship and the family. It was a bit too real at times, but I do think the plot point with Eve did really throw me for a loop. I do recommend this book though if you’re interested.
