this was so interesting! i liked the characters and i was so invested in red's story! i would have liked more background of the other characters but i think that holly jackson's writing is so capable of making her readers interested that not knowing much about the side characters can work, just like it did here. i also thought the books kinda dipped in the middle as i was getting really annoyed with oliver but he is an ass so that's to be expected that i wanted to get away from him. however, that plot twist shocked me to the core! i thought it was such a cool concept and it was so interesting to see the story progress. definitely excited for more from holly jackson, everything she writes turns to gold!

This book is like that one episode from Victorious where the main characters   are trapped inside that RV in 100 degree weather and Lord of The Flies had a baby. Started out slow at first but once it picked up i could not put it down!! Really wasn’t expecting the twists and turns throughout the book! I also enjoyed the writing style. Oliver was INSUFFERABLE but very interesting to see how his manipulation and paranoia affected the rest of the group. This was my first holly jackson novel but not the last, excited to read more from her!

I have so much to say about this book but I don’t know how to word any of it.

i expect something more tbh but like the genre itself it would be a stand alone-face pace. everything happened so quick dan twistnya gak terlalu ok, cuma emg seru aja. i just finish it bcz of this hectic lebaran vibes -.-

Six friends are trapped in a RV by a sniper....who wants to know the secret that one of them is hiding. This is a good, quick read with intriguing twists and turns that will hook readers. I think my high school students will love it, as did I.

Holly Jackson fucking  goes there , man. This was so good. First book in a while that had me hooked, and this went in some directions I did not see coming. The only reason this wasn’t a full 5 star is because I felt a few things went unexplained that I would’ve liked to know more about. But other than that this was so good. I love Holly’s writing and she ain’t holding nothing back! Highly recommend, obvs.

I was ecstatic to receive this e-arc as I am a huge fan of Holly Jackson's A Good Girls Guide to Murder trilogy. Unfortunately, it fell flat for me. Thats not saying it was a bad book. She did a great job at pacing an entire novel into just a few short hours. I felt most of the characters had a decent amount of backstory for the time frame as well. I also was not able to guess the twists, nor the ending, until the end. I feel like this type of book does much better as a movie than it does a novel, though.

The biggest issue I had was it started out so slow. So boring. I had a really hard time picking it up because it just took forever to get to the good parts. Also, the main character, Red, seemed to have memory issues or something sometimes and not others. It was never clear why. She also was trying to figure out the pattern in the curtains the entire novel and kept repeating the size of the RV and I don't even think we ever found out what that pattern was. It felt really irrelevant and might've made sense if we actually got to find out what it was and if it tied to the story in some way. Near the ending it finally picked up and got interesting, but before then, I had a really tough time getting invested.

That being said, I still very much absolutely love Holly Jackson's work and will absolutely read whatever she releases next. I feel she does much, much better with a series than a standalone and I hope that's what she chooses next time! I do recommend checking this book out as it seems to be a hit or miss with people! I definitely recommend her other work as well!
