I liked the character development. It was great to learn more about Slade. It just reminded me too much of ACOTAR. Deadwell is basically Velaris, the wrath is quite similar to the court of dreams. I was just so curious about the ending as everyone seemed to be adoring it, but I didn’t see the appeal. Some parts were predictable and the other parts didn’t excite me as much as the ending of the previous book.

This book was pretty okay, not my favorite of this series but it had some important scenes and great character development for Auren. I may have given this a lower rating but the ending was amazing ! 

The last few chapters were insane, with many plot twists. The ending was truly tragic, with Auren going through the rift and Slade not being able to go with her

Auren and Slade have been through so much already and their story has been emotional and heartbreaking but I love them both so much and I'm so ready for their journey to continue in the finale of this series 

I just know that the fifth book, Gold is going to be really good and I can't wait to see these characters again
