Rabid The Savage Spirit of Seneca Rain
Reviews

Sincerest thanks to two of my favorite authors of all time, Raven Kennedy and Ivy Asher, for gifting me a stunning paperback copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed below are my own. GUYS--I freaking loved this book! It single handedly got my vamp obsessed self hooked on shifter smut and I am not mad about it one single bit. Please note that while this book is listed as #6 in a series, it is actually a standalone novel and you do not need to read previous installments at all to dive straight into this one! This is the very first werewolf romance I have ever read in which tropes such as two shifters’ wolves mating and knotting are explored. I’ll admit, I had absolutely no clue what I was getting myself into, but I trust these two authors implicitly to tell a kickass paranormal romance story and while it certainly shocked me (in a VERY good way) at times, it did not disappoint in the least! I’m usually not a fan of alpha males in the slightest, but Alpha Tyran was beyond my wildest dreams as a badass love interest. While he is a strict and foreboding leader, he’s entirely made of cinnamon roll dough and I am forever obsessed with him. As for the MC of this one, I absolutely adored her. Seneca fell victim to nightmarish trauma in her own pack and I felt every ache and bruise right along with her. I loved to witness this girl fight for her freedom, her life, and her happiness throughout the narrative.

Not quite what I was expecting but I’m not mad at it either. This is the first book I’ve read with actual shifting in it and as my first I didn’t feel overwhelmed or turned off by it so yeah. I definitely didn’t feel like this was all that romantic either, I think it had to do more with self discovery and revenge more than anything. But I did like Tyran & Seneca together.

This read was fantastic, I loved the plot and the spice. Warning don’t read unless you are ready for a lot of spice. The ending was fantastic! For a standalone this was definitely worth the read

Oh. My. God. Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the ground. I didn’t know I needed a shifter book like this, but damn I needed a shifter book like this. For starters, Raven Kennedy and Ivy Asher are goddesses and need to continue to write together. In fact, write more about Seneca and Tyran. I need more. The book opens up with the death of Seneca’s mother and immediately we get a sense of foul play. Burke, the monstrous and honor-less alpha of her current pack is ready to claim her at the ceremony where Seneca will meet her wolf for the first time. At the ceremony, things suddenly take a turn for the worst and Seneca goes rabid. Burke, the coward that he is, shoots her with a tranquilizer and then leaves her on enemy territory, rumored to be the most vicious pack of wolves around. It is here where she meets Tyran and omg, if I don’t find a Tyran one day, I’m giving up. Seriously! Hands down, my favorite alpha male ever. And the chemistry between him and Seneca is so hot, I can’t even began to describe it. There are tons of steamy scenes and an amazing plot to go along with it. Hands down my favorite shifter book ever. Read it!

This book was AMAZING. It's an alpha male and a feisty heroine pairing. I loved the tension between them- it gave my butterflies, and I loved how he pushed her, it's very much a passionate battle of wills and some fighting (I was screaming and dying because it was so well executed). The writing style is also great, it felt like I was there with them in the picturesque setting of the forest. Also, I actually teared up as our heroine started to come into herself more. Seneca is officially one of my favourite female characters. Spice rating is a 3 as it's not frequent but very intense, and there's knotting 👀
