Surprised by the premise of book banning given; what was happening in the 50s that allowed this to resonate today? Mass media, culture and self censorship all fits today. Liked the way he writes Guy - the path to self awareness and critical thinking done with a fair amount of empathy. Always love a dystopia.

This is a classic about past, present, and future. The writing style took me to empty rooms with only details that are pointed out. Like seeing someone's blurry memory and it is unsettling. An amazing concept that we can't use freedom and we are limited and purged for choosing books or too much thinking about the simple things. Call me paranoid but I would say it is a must-read, so we might stop it in case it starts happening again.
