From the start to the end this book gave me a sad and melancholic vibe, the words on the paper bled into my emotions, making me feel things, which is rare in general

Also it's still so impressive to me how this book is under 100 pages and still it's a masterpiece

The connection between May and Zachary felt so intimate, almost like It was too private and vulnerable for me to see

I also really liked the concept with a soul saver for people who commit suicide, it was new and in the start slightly strange for me to read about, but in the end it felt very touching to see Zachary save May by helping her find her soul again and choose to live in the afterworld

The idea that to save yourself you have to kill yourself again, that was a bit disturbing to think about

The moment that really got to me was May's revisitting all her darkest memories, having to relive it all over again

It was heartbreaking but also touching to see her realising the one she hated more than anyone was herself, but now she was finally ready to put it behind her, to forgive herself even when she didn't do anything wrong, the world had just made her think she did

Also the moment with her dad, when she discovered that he never wanted to leave, how he never had hated her, her whole life was based on this lie, it was insane and sad to think about, but also comforting to know he never wanted to hurt her, he always loved her 

It was truly saddening to see how much hatred her mother had for her, the beatings, the lies, the assault, the verbal abuse, they were all things she never should have had to experience

Before she met Zachary in the afterlife, her appearance had changed, she had blossomed into a healthy, happier version of May, her hair and body was no longer scarred from the pain she had inflicted upon herself, her body was stronger and more delicate than it used to be, her appearance had changed because her sould had

This moment made me think of all the times I imagined my ideal self, what she would look like, how it would be to wake up to a whole new you, someone more beautiful, prettier, smarter and happier 

In a way it made me believe that maybe it can be possible for me too

In the end May and Zachary managed to find each other in the afterlife, something I really hoped would happen, they deserve all the happiness, they will always be the definition of soulmates to me
