I read this as a palate cleanser between the dragon republic and the burning god, and to its credit, it did the job. I’m not sure if maybe i’m just over romances, but this did not hit AT ALL.

There was no romantic chemistry between the leads and frankly I’m a bit over the ‘not like other girls’ attitude that all rom com FMCs seem to have. Also, as someone who was at university for 5 years, you cannot tell me that people would care enough to talk about this random girl who did something *slightly* embarrassing. Like I can promise you, no one cares that much.

Like yeah, you have to suspend reality a little bit for fiction books but that was a little much even for me

If you know me you know that I love fake dating. Make it a sports romance and I need to read it immediately. I really fell in love with these characters from the previous books and seeing their story was also so cute. The fluff in the book is so good. And I have said this before but I’m favorite part of this whole series is the found family dynamic that it has. Honestly I really enjoyed the third book and the build for the fourth has me intrigued to learn more. If you haven’t checked out the Campus Wildflowers series I highly recommend it!
