This book means everything to me!!

I will never forget how many emotions I felt reading this book.

It’s crazy to me.

Kitt and Winnow are the ages I’m in between right now. 18/19 not respectively.

I love them with all my heart. They mean everything to me.

Absolutely incredible! Such a unique story and had me hooked the WHOLE time. Loved the characters and the plot and the blend of magical realism was so interesting.

"Dear Iris,

I have to say that an eyeball is the furthest image from my mind. Event the fierce flower that inspired your mother to name you wasn't the first thing I thought of. Rather:

iris: transitive verb: to make iridescent.

Let us make our names exactly what we want them to be.

-C."

"I think we all wear armor. I think those who don't are fools, risking the pain of being wounded by the sharp edges of the world, over and over again. But if I've ever learned anything from those fools, it's that to be vulnerable is a strength most of us fear. It takes courage to let down your armor, to welcome people to see you as your are. Sometimes I feel the same as you: I can't risk having people behold me as I truly am. But there's also a small voice in the back of my mind, a voice that tells me, 'You will miss so much by being so guarded.'"
