City of Nightmares

The main idea (people turning into their worst nightmare overnight) was SO GOOD. I was very disappointed with the lacking plot, though what I really disliked was the writing. The trauma/fear description was so goof throughout the book, yet it’s as if it resolved itself in a second. The relationship between Ness and Cy escalated too quickly for people who’ve barely spend time together, death threat or not. Overall, messages were good but delivered through bad writing (long cues delivering a message but almost the only spoken sentences, makes it lose meaning).
