This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance I don't know why I ever doubt the magic and power of Rebecca Zanetti and for some reason I really put this book and I have to ask myself WHY??!! ....and its connected to my favorite series of hers "Sin Brothers" and boy did I have a blast with this one. There is something so unique about Zanetti's writing, she is always able to pull me so quickly into a story and become so hooked on it. And yeah I couldn't put down Deadly Silence and breezed through this book. If you love suspense, mystery, with a bit of psychic abilities thrown into the mix, than you definitely need this book in your life. From day one, she’d tasted danger on his tongue, and it burned her hotter than she’d ever been. Our story begins with Ryker and Zara. Ryker and Zara have been having a casual fling, Ryker is busy protecting his brothers, trying to find a serial female rapist murderer, setting up his private investigations business and staying ahead of their enemies. Zara has her own crazy life on the side, she is a paralegal but her once best friend has an abusive husband who happens to be her client and the mayor and trying not to commit too many crimes in the process because she believes in the letter of the law. But Ryker and Zara's relationship is your normal casual fling and its much more cemented than either of them realize. But danger is surrounding them and they may not survive intact After living her desired routine-driven life for years, she’d craved adventure, and he filled that need. He drew out a wildness she hadn’t realized she possessed. Deadly Silence was a WHOPPER of a read and I loved every moment of this wild ride that this author takes us on. I honestly have no idea how this trilogy slipped under my radar but you can bet I will be finishing up these books pretty quickly because these brothers and all the side characters we get ....lets just say I need my fix of Zanetti and NOW lol What this author is able to accomplish especially in her romantic suspense books is phenomenal and I swear I will never get enough of it. She never felt more alive than when he was in town, and she never felt safer than when he was in her bed.   The romance that builds between Zara and Ryker is very empowering and keeps you on edge. And the HEAT in this book is so powerful and could burn down the house, its so powerful. I had forgotten what she can do with her sex scenes, but they are STEAMY HOT and so delicious in so many ways. But what I really loved was the deeper connected and the yummy alphaness we see and man Ryker .....I just want to keep him. And its pretty stunning the way Zara manages him although its not easy and quite frankly at times she does need the boundaries that Ryker sets because she can be reckless at times but she is strong, she is a fighter for those she loves and such a good match for Ryker. The safest place for her was with him, yet it was also the most dangerous to her heart. Another delight from this story is seeing Ryker's brothers and their close bond they have together and the connection that we see with Ryker's other family that he doesn't even know about until the "Sin Boys" arrive and some more clues fit the puzzle of what is going on. But there is plenty more for us to discover and I can't wait to see Heath's book (which I hear is the best) so I am picking that up soon. Overall I found this book to be a thrilling....on the edge of your seat type of reading that blends together sensual delights and exciting chills to utterly captivate the reader in every way!! They decide to start doing investigative work, searching for lost people. Zara and her law firm had contracted the brothers to help on a previous case and that's how Zara and Ryker met. Their relationship went from work-related to satisfying their desires with no strings attached. Ryker has many secrets he isn't ready to share with Zara but when his past starts catching up to him, he may have to drop his defenses around Zara and welcome her into his dangerous life. He'd share his body and nothing else with her. [...] From day one he'd been clear that this wasn't forever, that he wasn't interested in a future. Neither was she. I didn't know this was the spin-off to the Sin Brothers series. With that said, I never felt like I was missing out on anything. The main characters of Sin Brothers make appearances in this novel and boy, am I going to be checking out that series. This is also my first book by Rebecca Zanetti and it sure won't be my last! Ryker was never interested in having a relationship with Zara. He didn't want to settle down if he had to be on the move soon after so he kept the relationship physical. When Zara ends up in an altercation, Ryker can't help but feel very protective of her and he soon realizes that he may just want more out of this affair. I like that Ryker was never hot and cold with Zara. Soon after he realizes he wants more, he slowly starts opening up to her and giving her glimpses to his past. I was afraid this would be one of those books where the guy distances himself from the girl to protect her. I was squinting my eyes while reading, hoping to not reach a part like that in the story and thank goodness it didn't happen! Ryker knew the only way to keep Zara safe was to stay with her and work together, along with his brothers. Zara isn't sure she wants something more with Ryker. The guy doesn't settle down in one place before he's on the move again so she keeps herself guarded. Ryker being the Alpha male he is, he worms his way into Zara's personal life until she starts trusting him. I was loving Ryker's and Zara's relationship so much! They fit so perfectly together. Ryker would never push Zara into something she wasn't ready for. From the beginning, he was so caring of her, he just didn't know it yet. Zara turned out to be a great, strong, fierce female character. After being in danger a few times, I thought she'd make lots of stupid decisions, but she didn't! She understood what was at stake and would think things very logically, just as the brothers would do. "I ain't easy, I know... but I'll be worth it." During the first part of the story, the relationship between Ryker and Zara is the main focus with the mystery looming in close. After a while, the mystery takes the front seat and keeps the readers on their toes until the very end. The suspense had me close to biting my nails. I had no freaking idea what was about to happen or what danger was ahead. The danger had me so scared when I got to it. I was fearing for these amazing characters. Then there's the action part. Holy hell, that was brilliant. I could totally see this as a movie! Rebecca Zanetti did a great job in describing the climax of the story incredibly well. I was picturing everything that was happening very vividly in my head, such as the explosions, being on the run, all the fights, and much more. Deadly Silence is a gripping action-packed page-turner with a hot romance and a strong bond between brothers that will have you eagerly wanting more from these characters. While I try to be a patient potato for the sequel Lethal Lies, I'll be starting the Sin Brothers series! I received an eARC from the publisher for free in exchange for an honest review. What a book! I couldn’t put it down which was surprising considering I’d expected it to be a DNF for me. I bought this book forever ago and romantic suspense is not my usual genre so it was an impulse buy on my part. It was probably an ebook freebie thinking about it. I’m glad I read it though because it was so good. It begins with Ryker and Zara in a very casual relationship with Ryker being a typical romance alpha male. Both were wary about getting more involved yet seemed to want more from the other. I thought them being in an established, although casual, relationship would be off putting but I think it worked in this instance. The focus was on them figuring out how to have something more when both were quite wary and had their own secrets with the mystery coming to the fore later in the book. It was so fast paced once the action got going. I didn’t want to put the book down, I needed to know what was next. I may not be a frequent (or even occasional) reader of romantic suspense but I am hooked in this series and now I know this is a spin off of another one I have more books to add to my TBR!

This is a great new series, which interconnects with the Sin Brothers series brilliantly. These Blood Brothers don't share blood in the typical sense but having met each other whilst they were children at an orphanage (and having some weirda&& experiments done on them) these three brothers are closer than kin. They may be hiding out from their long-time nemesis but they are doing good, the only way they know how, whilst searching for their own answers. They have the BEST named PI company ever! Now relocated to rural Wyoming and on the trail of a serial killer they've managed to put down roots without thinking about it. Zara loves her life in Cisco, Wyoming. She's a Paralegal but she has found herself on the wrong side of her friend's divorce case. How can she aid her friend without opening herself to breaking her oath of office? Ryker has been seeing Zara as FWB for a while now. But he's slowly coming to the realisation that she means much more to him. He just doesn't want to label it and she seems to be even more cagey about taking things to the next level than him! Heath, Ryker and Denveraren't just damn good investigators - they all have something a little extra, something that gives them the edge. Something that Zara may just need as danger seems to be circling her and she can't see a way out. Brilliant read! I loved the blend of romantic suspense and scifi/scientific romance elements. Ryker tries too hard to be the emotionless alpha and fails miserably. He may not be gushy and so forth but his actions speak louder than words and they say A LOT. Heath and Denver - well they're just all sorts of yummy goodness and I can't wait to find out more. Greg - OMG he is such a precocious kid. ut after what he's been through he's not really been a kid in a long time, if ever. Loved the way that the Sin Brothers and Blood Brothers dovetail together, with all the "bloodlines" mixing up.
