**REVIEW TO COME**

Well, there a mix feeling right here. It was a quick read and I finished this book in a day, probably because the first half of the book was great. Distopia/ zombie outbreak awesomeness. It was exciting and I kept my fingers crossed for all three narrator's journey to Red Hill. Alas, good things don't last. Things were getting worse as I continued, it hit rock bottom as I reached the end of the book. It was so disgraceful I felt very horrible to witness it firsthand. Well, I'm not saying it out of hate, so I'd say I'm totally recommending this book because I don't know if it was just me. I'm not sure...it might be, it might be that: --- SPOILER ALERT --- BAD REVIEW --- Not suitable for the fans --- 1. I'm the only one around here who hate fast pace unreasonable cheap romance? It might sound a little bit harsh but I'm not exaggerating. I rolled my eyes so much reading this my eyeballs got cramped. The love triangle between Miranda Bryce and Joey was starting out nice. I liked that Miranda didn't like Joey at first...kind of an old-fashioned/ straight-out-of-text-book plot, but at least there's something. Then, for some reason she decided to like him anyway because of his biceps and triceps looks appealing and intimidating at the same time....well, OK, fine, she's a teenager so there must be one of two shallow moves. it's in their nature. I thought of epic heartbreak or tearful departure. NONE. It was disappointingly dull. The dialogues and plot weren't believable enough for me. I didn't feel anything at all once I've come to learn their final fate. I was yawning, very annoyed by a poor dialog and dramas. I tried not to rolled my eyes with each steps I took to the climax of these kids' relationship. I've tried, and failed miserably. The main characters' romance didn't help. There were points in which I just wanna puke in a bucket. Poorly constructed. So shallow and unbelievable. It's like watching a porno - no romance, just sex. I don't believe Nathan's love for Scarlet, and oh lord....speaking of Scarlet, I really need to express my #2 doubt: 2. I'm the only one around here who think the heroine is unlikable? Because of her, I've put this book straight down to my 'Annoying heroine' list. She tried too hard to be a badass and again, I'm not convinced. The author tried to play the 'iron rose' aka I-might-be-tough-but-so-fragile-and-insecure-deep-inside trick shit on me and it didn't work. All I could think of is that, she's responsible for many deaths of those who trusted her but sadly she didn't contribute much on the mourning part. The final straw was Miranda/Bryce at the end. That was it. Don't get me wrong, I liked her a lot during the first half of the book. I think it has something to do with Nathan because once these 2 got together, I don't like neither of them no more. They were too cheesy to be together....I mean I love love stories. I love the strange feeling in my stomach when I read come across the subtlety in lines or story that indicates something....special. I'm emotional and sensitive, so I get these poor souls. I blamed the author for executing it so poorly....oh boy she should just stuck on writing zombie novel, it was great. 3. I'm the only one around here who thinks the author was a bit in a hurry? It's like she was in a hurry of finishing this book. I can feel it. Joey's death, for example. She could at least spend a quality time brewing the unrequited tensions between him and Miranda before letting a horrible fate takes on him. Well to be fair, she did, but again, I'm not convinced. The slap-kiss-slap-kiss scene with Miranda was closed, but I felt like watching daytime soap rather than reading such high rated book. Then there's the epilogue......Ashley and Skeeter, seriously? I felt really really bad for Ashley because she was the once who got fucked over the most in this book. In fact, it was too much to the point that it didn't matter. She lost everyone she loved....which reminds me of the death of her sister, Miranda. There's not much description of how she took her sister's dead, is it? Ending the book by putting those 2 together is just......pfff. It's like the author was so into killing everyone off, trying to make it tearful and emotional (failed), until it was too late. Suddenly she just found out there's not many of her characters left, so just make a couple out of something as an after thought. Well, surely it might not be as bad as I wrote but it was such a great disappointment to me. Maybe I was just accustomed to other types of book or other writing styles. I cannot make myself like the book. I will just have to try to remember only the bad-ass post apocalyptic part and get over it, then. She gets the best concept; post apocalyptic/ zombie shooting/ survival with a glimpse of romance. She could make the world our of it. Instead, the book was poorly executed, it should have been better for the sake of female desperate zombie fans like us out there.
