Ruling Passion

When Detective Sergeant Pascoe travels to the sleep village of Thorton Lacey for a reunion with friends he finds not a warm welcome, but a grisly triple murder. He's out of his jurisdication and he's ordered back to Yorkshire, but he's reluctant to leave the case to the local constable who he knows will never guess the true motive of the killer.
