Rend the Dark was a short, quick read that I have been dying to read from some time now. It was the perfect amount of length, enough that I didn't feel cheated, but was left satisfied and wanting more in the series but not wanting more from the book itself. I loved Ferran and Mireia, and cannot wait to get to know them more in future books to come. The only thing that I didn't really like was the point of view of Hileon. He wasn't a bad character, I was just more invested and interested in Ferran's point of view. Although, I wouldn't have minded seeing Mireia's perspective either.
