Return Billionaire to Sender A grumpy hero-opposites attract standalone romantic comedy
Reviews

Return Billionaire to Sender is another of Annika Martin’s wacky rom-coms. This time the plucky letter carrier, Noelle, fights to save her beloved apartment building from destruction by the heartless machinations of billionaire Malcolm Blackberg. The British business mogul doesn’t give a fig about the building at 341 West 45th Street until Noelle forces him to. Through a series of pricelessly clique events, Noelle is mistaken as Blackberg’s new court-ordered emotional intelligence coach. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, Noelle takes the opportunity to fight for the homes of her NYC found family. As she spends time taking Malcolm through her 4-week “training program” the two begin to open up to each other in classic rom-com fashion. “It was more than getting to know each other; he brought out a new side of me; a side of me that I don’t show other people. A side of me that I don’t even show myself. Me as a woman who says real things and asks for what she wants.” Martin’s novels are typified by wildly uproarious shenanigans, hot billionaire men, and earnest women doing their best. Return Billionaire to Sender is no different. Somehow Martin gets the reader to believe that the situation Noelle gets herself into is perfectly reasonable and you become utterly invested in the fate of a made-up apartment building in a fictional Manhattan. Noelle is that compelling of a character. She’s a true optimist believing she can change Malcolm’s very set mind because covered by a snarky British accent lies a kind person. She’s up against Malcolm, the epitome of a cold-hearted businessman set on coasting through learning empathy. You’ll have to read the book to find out if Noelle triumphs! If you’re a fan of books by Meghan Quinn, you’ll love Annika Martin.
