The saga continues. This one was great! Every time I has to put the book down I was thinking about it, and every time I was reading it I was devouring it. I needed to know what happened, I needed more of these characters, I just needed to be reading. 

Yes it’s a little out of date, they use iPods and for some reason emails as a for, of communication (as well as texts). However, the drama, cuteness, plot, and characters are so timeless. I would pick this book up 10 years from now and read it again.

After the humiliating events on the 4th of July, Gemma's trying to grapple with the fact that Hallie knew her true identity all summer, and that she was the one who stole Teddy from her. Gemma vows revenge, but things immediately get more complicated than she planned. Her dad forces her to get a job, and the only one she can find involves scooping ice cream all day. Ford, Gemma's longtime crush, has arrived in the Hamptons, and is cuter than ever. Josh is refusing to speak to her after finding out she lied to him. And to top it all off, Teddy is back in the picture, and closer to home than Gemma would like. Gemma and Hallie find themselves locked in an escalating revenge cycle involving everything from strawberry syrup to stolen identities. But just when Gemma thinks she has the upper hand, the biggest bombshell of all is dropped. And it's one that threatens to change her life forever. Again, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this story. I really enjoy the characters, and I think they fit their roles nicely. But a good portion of this series is incredibly petty and I've found myself rolling my eyes and wishing to skip past it. I've also found some bits and pieces to be really predictable, which took a little of the enjoyment away.

And also, that ending, what the hell was that?

I'm going to continue and read the last book. There are a few things I would like to see happen in the last book regarding Gemma's relationships with her family and friends and Hallie. And also a certain direction I would like her love life to go in. I'm hoping that I see those things happen. Plus I really want to find out what happens next.

Overall, it's light and entertaining reading.
