Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan this book is great. I am so happy I read this and am wondering why it took me so long to finally pick it up from the library. The best part about this book is that it was written about 20 years ago, but everything the author talks about still rings true, mostly. It's sort of scary, in a way, that the world hasn't changed all that much, but still. I adore reading non-fiction like this; I love psychology and learning about how professionals deal with women's issues, so this was fascinating. I definitely think women AND men should read this to fully understand what it's like to be an adolescent girl in the Western world. I loved how Pipher used stories of her real-life clients in the book, as it brought a lot of realism to everything she was explaining. All in all, this book is fantastic, I will remember it for a long time, so GO READ IT!!!
