This was an emergency Book Purchase whilst on my Trip to Scotland, I had finished my previous read and had forgotten to pack a 2nd book so walked into a Bookshop and asked for recommendations and this was what they recommended. I had seen it on Socials a little bit with lots of reviews saying that it’s a cosy Fantasy read, and it was exactly that!

Bella works in a bookshop in London and stays clear of anything magical unless it’s small spells to clean up the books and make cups of tea.

Then, she fails a trail to keep her magic and is given until the end of October to change the Coven’s minds, by undergoing a series of magical trials or risk losing her magic forever.

I loved how fresh and new this one felt That Bella had to complete a series of trials to prove why she deserved to keep her magic! All the Characters in this read are a lovable, relatable & you can’t help but root for the main character throughout the entire book! As A Debut book I already know that Lucy Jane Wood is going to be an author I enjoy reading form again in the future!

Absolutely adored this! The perfect autumnal witchy read, so incredibly well written, funny and full of heart. The message of learning to have faith in yourself hit home with me.

This was a charming coming of age story about a Witch stepping into her powers. Coming of age stories typically feature younger characters so I like that this book emphasizes that we are all constantly trying to find ourselves. It was very introspective with family and friendship taking center stage. There is a little bit of romance which was very cute - I wish we had more tbh 😭 If you are looking for something autumnal, witchy and feel good, pick up Rewitched.
