A escrita oscila entre bons e maus momentos que me deixa confusa quanto à avaliação da escrita. Tem capítulos pequenos e acho que era suposto ser uma leitura fluida mas não é. Os protagonistas têm 0 de personalidade e este livro é todo um novo conceito para insta-love porque demorou um nanossegundo para se apaixonarem loucamente um pelo outro. Relativamente à história em si, é um pouco vazia tirando o luto da personagem e os momentos em que ela lida com a vida após a morte do irmão, se algo valeu a pena neste livro foram essas partes.

Oh! Tijan is back! Technically she never went anywhere, but her last few books didn’t really rate as well with me, but that changes here!
I LOVED this book! I loved Aspen, like, really loved Aspen. She is so awesome! Funny, quirky, strong.
I loved how protective Blaise was. How he had his problems, but confronted them, recognised them, met them head on.
One thing that did bother me was how many connections there were to other books and series. I had a little bit of a hard time keeping people straight and I think it’s because Blaise and Aspen really came out of the dark for me.
Still, this book is emotional, it’s funny, it’s swoon worthy and you need to read it!

I have loved Tijan since Fallen Crest and I continue to love her writing! Blaise & Aspen's story is captivating like the rest of Tijan's work, but it's sweet & raw, too. 

Blaise & Aspen are so hilariously different that they normally wouldn't be put together, but by happenstance Aspen crosses Blaise's path & then he can't get her out of his head. It's got bits of the "good girl / bad boy" trope, but it's told in a new way, so you almost don't notice it. Both characters have things they have to work through in order to truly work, and it makes them more relatable to readers, I think.

If you've read her Fallen Crest series or Crew series, you'll get a kick out of the crossover characters; I always like when that happens because it feels like I'm seeing an old friend. The drama was a good level--I didn't feel like my heart was going to stop from stress at any point, and it wasn't so tame that it was dull. It was a good balance. 

A great standalone read! 4/5 starts.
